How to Play

Weighted tipping is an easy game to play once you know the basic rules. Each week you have to tip 8 winners (tips must be in by 7PM AEDT on the day of the first game of the round.) and for each winner you need to assign an amount of points from 1 to 8. See below for more detail.

  1. Select a winner for each game of the round.
  2. For each game assign a point value of between 1 and 8. Each point value can only be used once.
  3. If the team you picked wins the game you get the amount of points that you selected for that game as your score.
  4. If you tip all 8 winners for the round you get a bonus of 4 points giving you 40 points for the round.
  5. A draw is not a win so no points are awarded.

Example

So for example Geelong are playing Melbourne in this game I would select Geelong as my tip and because I don't think the dees have any chance I would select 8 points for my point value. If Geelong do win I get 8 points. Another example is Geelong are playing the Saints I have no idea who is going to win the game so I tip Geelong and select 1 point as my value for that game so that if I get it wrong all I loose if 1 point. As you can see this style of game makes it easier to catch up to someone at the half way point then more traditional game types.
